Cashier Cashier

You will handle the cash exchanges between the business and customers. This role involves a significant amount of customer interaction.

Job Summary

  • Responsible for making up the guest's bill, ensuring that it includes any last minute changes
  • Dealing with payments by cash, cheque, direct debit card or credit card, travellers cheques or foreign currency
  • Preparing receipts
  • Check daily cash amounts
  • Greet customers and answer any immediate queries

  • Experience with foreign currency’s would be an advantage

Qualifications and Training

You don’t need any particular qualifications or training to begin your career as a Cashier. However, if you tend to progress further you may want to consider various food preparation and food hygiene certificate and qualifications.

Salary Expectations

A Cashier can expect to earn between £12,000 and £17,000 a year
