Your job is to ensure accommodation is always prepared for the next guest. This can involve a range of departments and areas including housekeeping, reservations and food & beverage

Job Summary

  • Arrange room servicing schedules
  • Supervise the work of your team
  • Deal with suppliers of cleaning materials, equipment and linen to get price quotes
  • Place orders and accept deliveries
  • Prepare clear company procedures which your team can follow
  • Safe working methods i.e. the use of cleaning materials, equipment, heavy lifting, pushing and other manual handling techniques
  • Coach and develop your team of assistants and house porters

  • Housekeeping expert

  • Ability to organise and co-ordinate
  • Knowledge of health and safety for the workplace

Qualifications and Training

Having a decent set of qualifications will help you progress quickly along this career path; hospitality and business qualifications at College and Degree level may be expected from employers

Salary Expectations

Accommodation Services Manager can expect to start at £22,000 and rise as high as £40,000
