A large-scale event involves a lot of financial transactions; you’ll be in charge of recording them and tying up any loose ends. You’ll also book particular rooms and source equipment at a low cost

Job Summary

  • Handle requests for seminars, weddings, conference, etc. by telephone
  • Prepare invoices and proposals
  • Identify precisely the expectations of the customer
  • Check the availability of meeting rooms and bedrooms
  • Follow up customers and confirms reservations
  • Pass on instructions to the various departments (reception, food and beverage and kitchen)
  • Events Management
  • Handle any complaints and follow-up debtors

Skills required

  • Experience with Microsoft packages
  • Sales experience i.e. negotiating and selling the product
  • Hospitality
  • Organisational skills
  • Customer service experience

Qualifications and Training

Employers will be looking for a good set of qualifications that prove you have various transferable skills such as time management, presentation and organisation. You can earn Events related qualifications and Degrees and College and University

Salary Expectations

A Conference and Banqueting Sales Manager can expect to earn between £25,000 and £40,000
