I’ve just joined the BaxterStorey apprentice programme in Scotland as part of the RBS contract.
So far, I have learned and enjoyed lots of new things; like tasting and preparing new food, some I didn’t even know existed!
I have been practicing my knife skills and now know which knife to use for which task, and also how not to cut myself…
I love the fact that I can learn on the job and earn a little bit of money as I go. I like how I can tailor the programme to suit me and learn at my own pace.
After my placement, I hope to continue working in kitchens, learning and developing my skills.
