About Gleneagles

The Gleneagles® Hotel is a magnificent 'French chateau' set amid gently rolling hills in the heart of Scotland. Established in 1924, the hotel was soon acclaimed; it was described as 'a Riviera in the Highlands' and 'the eighth wonder of the world'. Today, this luxury hotel remains dedicated to excellence, just as it was in its earliest days when "the avowed intention of the management was to create happiness".

The hotel was built by the former Caledonian Railway Company, with its own railway station just minutes away. Today it boasts Scotland’s only 2 Michelin star restaurant, Andrew Fairlie, as well as a range of other formal and informal dining experiences, including the Dormy Clubhouse completely refurbished to receive guests during the 2014 Ryder Cup.
