Lexington Catering's Lex School of Talent are on the hunt for Lexington’s next generation of stars.
Lexington Catering’s award winning apprentice scheme, Lex School of Talent, is now open for budding young chefs to join them for their 2016 / 2017 programme. The apprentice scheme is entering its sixth year and has recently joined forces with the Galvin brothers apprentice programme, Galvin’s Chance. Apprentices going through both training programmes, and graduates across the two organisations, join forces to share best practice and training opportunities across both organisations.
The two year apprenticeship programme provides students with full time paid employment at some of Lexington’s top sites, opportunity to work at Michelin starred kitchens, mentoring from Lexington and Galvin Restaurants head chefs and food development team, day trips to meet suppliers and have time out to gain NVQ Levels 1, 2 and 3 from the University of West London. The programme also work closely with Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen apprentices.
Many of the Lex School of Talent apprentices have gone onto achieve some incredible things; our youngest LexChef winner, Craft Guild of Chefs Apprentice of the Year, Chef Stagiaire Award and London Loves Business Apprentice of the Year.
