Kitchen apprenticeships

Commis chef level 2

Learn and understand how to carry out the basic functions in every section of the kitchen. Experience, consider and value each section of the kitchen with a view to choosing an area where you feel most inspired.

Chef de partie level 3

A blend of management skills with complex culinary techniques as part of the role’s challenging and varied responsibilities. Become efficient in your work, remaining highly organised to ensure dishes go out on time and the work area remains clean and orderly.

Production chef level 2

Apply your methodical organisational skills to produce plates to a consistently high standard in line with standardised recipes and menu briefs. You’ll meet high expectations of compliance, hygiene, set budgets and manage portion control.

Hospitality team member level 2

You can work in a range of establishments, from bars and restaurants to banqueting venues and hotels. The role is very varied and although you would specialise in an area, you have to be adaptable and ready to support team members across the business.

You will provide vital support to management teams and are capable of independently supervising hospitality services and running shifts.
